These tables show the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores required for our English for Academic Purposes program and the amount of time most students take to reach the required scores.
All applications will be assessed on an individual basis. For Pre-Master’s Program, English language requirements will depend on the master’s program and academic qualifications. For all other programs, other entry criteria may apply.

Overview
Our General Academic English program will help you gain the skills and proficiency needed so you can speak, read, write and listen in English and excel in your chosen field. We are here to improve your skills in an English-speaking academic environment.
Your contact hours are generally 20 per week and class sizes are a maximum of 18.
We aim to make learning fun! You will improve your language skills including speaking, writing, reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary while learning about Australia in an engaging way.
You will cover essential academic skills such as group and team collaboration, critical and creative thinking, research and academic integrity and presentations, that will benefit your future studies. Upon successful completion, you will be able to communicate with confidence and obtain the essential language skills necessary for academic study in Australia.
Intake dates are available throughout the year, 10 and 5 weeks prior to the commencement of our English for Academic Purposes Program.
